Soulmate & God for my Family

by Barbara
(San Antonio)

Sometime in my childhood I distanced myself from God. Things were not going well for me and family, and I had just moved to the US and didn't know English, thus when I went to church I didn't even understand what was being said and I soon lost interest. I've battled losing and having full faith in God, and I am ashamed, but God knows this and I have asked for forgiveness. I listened to some Christian lectures and decided that it is true, Jesus is our only savior and it has been my doubts that have allowed evil into my life.
I have several petitions:

I pray that my whole family, especially my mother, begin to see Christ as their only savior and have faith in God. They do not like going to church and lack faith. I would love for them to believe again, and allow God back into their lives.

I pray for my brother (Diego), sister(Sandra), and ex-boyfriend (Cody) to stop drinking. Alcohol has affected their lives so much, and in such a negative way, but they don't see that. Please God, come into their hearts and make them realize that they are only hurting themselves and their loved ones.

I also pray for my other sister (Yael) and her husband(Luis) to be able to adopt or have a child of their own. Her husband had cancer when younger and is now sterile, Please God, give them the blessing of being parents.

Last but not least, I pray that I find my soul mate. Unfortunately, my previous relationship ended due to my boyfriends addiction to alcohol and my inability to help him. He is a good person, and believes in God and the Bible, but he is depressed and drank too much. I pray that he gets better. I believe that we are meant to be together, because a few times I prayed desperately to God to send me a husband, and my ex-boyfriend would come back into my life soon after. Whether he is my soul-mate or not I do pray for him. and ask God to please allow me to find my soul mate and marry soon. I would love to start a family soon, and wish to do it with the right person, one that God has in store for me. I pray that once we marry, our marriage lasts till we die and is founded on the principles of God.
